About the trip

After finishing our doctor’s thesis in the University Hospital Basel in cardiology in end of July and both of us starting to work as doctors first in January-February, my flatmate (Minh Dang) and me (André Vauthey) decided to hit the road and fly to Iran to start our journey.

As we actually have much time, we are thinking of doing a 2-3 months trip.

We only booked an one-way flight ticket to Bandar Abbas (in the South of Iran on the Persian gulf) and haven’t planned anything else. After only one day of being subscribed on couchsurfing, we received tons of invitations from people all over the country. So we probably use this as a road setting and see as we go.
